Markets Operations is responsible for driving every part of the trade lifecycle post execution. Its global teams manage settlement activity, risk and control, while ensuring the delivery of regulatory compliance and seamless operational client service across 60 countries.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Business Optimisation Manager.
In this role, you will
Assist Global Markets to simplify, standardise and streamline processes, to increase operational efficiency, reduce costs, increase capacity, reduce operating risk and associated losses, and improve client service and generate business growth
Drive Operational Excellence throughout Global Markets via development of capabilities and the execution of Business Optimisation programmes which promote continuous process improvement
Push for change and innovation and to break down existing paradigms
Work with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels of the organisation in order to gain buy in to proposals is crucial and a key element of the role. This is relevant to both specific process change recommendations and also in the culture space where the role is responsible to drive a culture of operational excellence
Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements
Master Black Belt Lean Six Sigma is preferred, minimum Black Belt certification is required
Strong problem solving, analytical and decision making skills.
Competent use of basic statistics, strong ability to interpret data, establish root causes and draw conclusions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly and concisely present requirements in a manner appropriate to the audience.
Presentation skills for delivering project summaries and other pitches to customers and project stakeholders.
Knowledge of multiple investment banking products with an end to end understanding of the process
