Be the primary coordinator of Country AML program matters for ASEAN and support the Country Cluster Head for ASEAN in ensuring a pristine program delivery for the countries
Support the countries on AML staffing related matters, ensuring AML teams are optimally capacitized, which includes ensuring capacity plans are in place and resourcing gaps are identified, roles are clearly defined and appropriate, and remedial actions are in place to address deficiencies in skillsets.
Act as the liaison between country and regional AML teams
Help ensure material AML issues in the countries are appropriately escalated to regional stakeholders and help oversee development and implementation of remedial actions. This includes material issues that impact AML risk, significant developments such as program and regulatory changes, regulatory and internal audit issues etc.
Support the Country Cluster Head in performing site-visits and provide hands-on support to country AML teams where necessary
Socialize AML issues and solutions across countries, and coordinate with relevant program leads to drive consistent implementation of the AML program
Be part of the cluster team driving implementation of special regional and global projects across countries
Graduate Degree from a recognized university (Accountancy, Banking, Business, Economics or Law) or relevant professional qualification
Minimum five years of financial services and / or compliance related experience
Comprehensive understanding of US/Singapore AML & Sanctions regimes
Practical understanding of implementing policies, practices and processes
General knowledge of regulatory environment, AML and CTF risks
Good understanding of retail and wholesale banking products, including banking, cards, trade, custody and markets
Ability to work well with remotely located teams.
Able to build strong and professional rapport with key business, regulatory and Compliance/ AML stakeholders
Sound judgment and able to prioritize
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Personal resilience, ability to remain positive and constructive when faced with difficulties
Eye for detail and willingness for hands-on execution
