The position will appeal to someone with experience in credit sales-trading who is looking to further their knowledge of electronic trading, fintech and the broader exchange business. The candidate must enjoy being part of a new business and enjoy business development activities such as marketing & communications, team build-out and working closely with technology on soliciting client feedback for product enhancements. The team is continually looking at new products and distribution models the candidate would be key in driving the future of this growing business at SGX.
Day-to-day duties include:
Prospecting, onboarding and sales management cycle for institutional participants onto SGX Bond Pro
Working on distribution strategies for new products and markets
Work closely with product management and technology on client feedback for product enhancements
Mentoring and training of sales team members
Develop marketing and communication strategies (e.g. media, conferences, in-house events)
Act as back-up for business management activities (compliance, regulatory)
Work with other SGX product teams (e.g. Index, FX, Bond listings) on cross-selling opportunities
8-10 years experience in Asian/EM credit sales/trading at bank/IDB/agency broker
Good relationships with regional banks, asset managers, hedge funds
Working knowledge of electronic trading is an advantage
Fluent in Mandarin or another Asian language (an added advantage to build relationship and acquire and service Chinese speaking clientele)
