Excelsior has been engaged to conduct a search for this innovative and dynamic international organisation. Our client is an exciting "new wave" alternative data & investment research provider, harnessing the power of next-generation big data and data science technologies, to estimate the performance metrics of public companies with shockingly accurate results. Consequently they are experiencing immense success selling their disruptive research solutions aimed at equity research analysts and portfolio managers, within the hedge fund and wider long-only buy side community. After successfully breaking into the US market and onboarding over 40 big hedge fund names there, they are expanding their global sales force to meet global growth ambitions by ensuring their solutions becomes an industry alternative data standard for institutional investors. With this they are hiring a sales professional in the NY / NJ / CT / MA area, responsible for both managing clients and new client acquisition.
Appropriate applicants will be able to show: - At least 1 or 2 years sales experience, either working for a provider of research or data solutions to the buy or sell side, OR you could have experience in an equity sales type role.
- The ability to pick up solutions which are new and unique in the market.
- Interest in working for a high growth enterprise.
- An articulate, consultative and confident sales approach conducive for selling to asset / hedge funds (portfolio managers, heads of research, portfolio analysts and equity research analysts etc). - Have the personal motivation and ability, to contribute to a dynamic and entrepreneurial team culture.
