Provide independent, objective views and challenges to NBFI credit proposals received from Relationship Managers of IBD (Institutional Banking Department);
Identify, measure and monitor credit risks on existing and new NBFI business proposals; Implementation of post lending management and covenants monitoring;
Minimise the Bank's credit-related losses by identifying and reasonably measuring credit risks and maintaining non-performing loans ratio within parameters of risk appetite policy of the Bank;
Provide SWOT analysis on NBFI credit proposals and make clear recommendations to credit committee in accordance with the Bank's credit policies and manual regarding the acceptability of particular deals from credit perspective whilst simultaneously maintaining an independent and objective view within the credit process;
Perform credit review and research of industry and peer group analysis. Proactively monitor industry trends for early warning signals;
Assist Head / Deputy Head of Credit Management to conduct risk-oriented reviews of NBFI portfolio on quarterly basis;
Other functions and tasks as maybe required to assist the Head / Deputy Head of Credit Management.
Ability to work unsupervised, good time management skills are essential;
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written to make clear presentations to credit committee;
Strong ability to analyze and assess plain vanilla credit transactions such as RCFs, Term Loans, Letters of Credit / Bank Guarantees and specialised transactions such as Private Equity Subscription Facilities, Redemption Support facilities, etc.;
Strong co-ordination skills required; able to work under pressure;
Familiarity with legal documentation and regulatory aspects relating to NBFI sector;
The relevant knowledge and experience of credit analysis of financial institutions or corporate would be an added advantage.
