Our client is truly a Global Bank here in Hong Kong and as one of the top 5 banks in the world by market capitalisation value their exposure and network really does span to every part of the world. Due to the growth of the business, they are looking for a lawyer to join their consumer / private banking arm of the business.
You will be tasked with providing overall legal assistance to the Bank including but not limited to issues relating to asset management, global markets and custody business etc. Draft and review relevant documents and agreements for fund services and custody services. Monitor legal requirements and regulations and provide professional advice in the area of:
Retail investment products included ELIs, ELD, paper gold, structured deposit etc
Asset management for fund management and discretionary portfolio management
Fund products included traditional funds, alternative investments MPF and ORSO funds.
Custody and escrow services
Bachelor in Laws or related discipline
Qualified solicitor in Hong Kong / China with 6-10 years' experience in law firms / legal and compliance department in banking or financial corporations
Strong sense in legal and compliance
A good team player with excellent presentation and communication skills
Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
Fluency in Mandarin is an advantage
