Finance Technology Finance Technology provides innovative solutions for regulatory and financial reporting, general ledger, profit & loss calculations, securities bookkeeping, budgeting & forecasting, and tax filing. The group leverages a state-of-the-art multi-terabyte financial data warehouse as one of its main assets to service the Firm's Finance division.
Role Profile: Finance Technology is looking for an Executive Director level candidate with 10 years+ experience. The candidate should be an experienced Solutions Architect with a strong Software Engineering background and hands on development experience across the full technology stack. Strong JAVA and Relational Database skills is a pre-requisite. Hands on experience of SCALA, desktop GUI technologies (.NET/C#), web technologies and large data warehouses would be an advantage. Experience of modern agile development techniques, automated testing and Continuous Integration is a pe-requisite. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a strong track record of building robust, scalable and adaptable Finance systems.
The position will entail leading a large regional development team located in London and Budapest. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential as well as experience of leading a large development team (15+).
The successful candidate will be working on a large scale multi-year renovation program with the aim to renovate the P&L, Balance Sheet and Sub ledger system for the Institutional Securities division of the firm. You will be part of a large global team working with Business Analysts, Project Managers, senior stakeholders and IT professionals across the firm's technology divisions. Although the firm has a distinct front-line Production Management team, the role will also involve co-ordination of level 3 production support and triage management of production incidents.
Experience of working in the Finance Industry is a pre-requisite. Experience of P&L, Balance Sheet, Ledger/Subledger and cross asset classes will be advantageous but not a pre-requisite.
