We Offer UHNW comprises four distinct areas: UHNW Lending ("Lending"), UHNW and Corporate Deposits ("Deposits"), UHNW Custody and Execution Group ("CEG") and UHNW Middle Office ("MO"). Collectively these groups are responsible for building new and managing existing relationships with UHNW individuals and their related entities through the offering of lending, deposit and limited brokerage opportunities, as well as, the offering of deposit product opportunities to Investment Banking and Capital Markets ("IBCM") corporate clients. UHNW typically works closely with the UHNW Coverage Bankers and Industry Bankers (collectively, "Coverage") in this endeavour; however, it is not required.
UHNW Middle Office is a private side unit responsible for partnering with Coverage, Lending, Deposits, CEG, Legal, Compliance and other business partners to ensure clients receive an exemplary level of service while maintaining an appropriate control framework. The scope of activities includes (but is not limited to):
Manage the client onboarding process to ensure clients are on-boarded in an efficient manner
Maintain the Lending and Deposit pipeline
Review proposed terms of lending facilities to ensure all operational matters are addressed
Work with Legal to prepare draft and execution version loan documentation based on final CRM approval; or if using outside counsel, work with Legal as a liaison to ensure draft and execution version documentation are consistent with CRM approval
Work with Legal to prepare and execute deposit documentation
Ensure all due diligence and conditions precedent have been met prior to closing and funding
Log and track to completion all post-closing conditions, raising outstanding items as necessary
Facilitate the closing of lending and deposit transactions
Work with Loan Ops to ensure the timely booking and funding of loan facilities and deposits, as well as, any subsequent activity throughout the life of the loan/deposit
Serve as the primary control framework for ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations
Create and maintain the official credit/client files and supporting documentation
Monitor reporting and collateral covenants
Prepare and distribute a variety of business metrics and reporting to management and other internal partners
Prepare and post revenue attribution to Coverage Bankers
Special projects and ad hoc request
Serve as primary liaison for all business reviews (i.e., audit, ORM, regulatory, etc.)
Support Legal and Compliance on litigation and/or regulatory matters
Serve as primary liaison for all New Business matters
1-4 years' experience facilitating the origination and ongoing maintenance of lending and deposit transactions at varying levels of complexity preferred
Ability to understand complex transactions and borrower structures
Ability to understand legal documentation
General understanding of the IBCM business and the products/services it offers (M&A, DCM, HYCM, Corporate Lending, UHNW)
Results oriented team player with solid interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
Excellent time management, organization and prioritization skills
Detail oriented, thorough, and hard working
Ability to interact and work closely with coverage officers, structurers and clients, at times in stressful situations
Proven ability to work in a dynamic environment and efficiently meet deadlines associated with multiple tasks
Ability to elicit confidence and build rapport with a focus on enhancing the client experience
Ability to work in a close knit team atmosphere but also able to work independently and drive a project when necessary
Highly motivated with drive and enthusiasm; excellent collaboration skills.
