MORE ABOUT THIS JOB YOUR IMPACT The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Federation Technology team in China, with a primary focus on Compliance Technology support. The candidate will work closely with the technology as well as business counterparts, both locally, regionally, and globally, to identify optimal solution to facilitate existing as well as new business needs. Responsibilities range from gathering user requirements to uplift regional compliance program via technical implementation of GS in house and vendor solutions to facing off with local regulators to support audits / inspections / queries. The role will also require day-to-day support and maintenance of the systems implemented for the Compliance division and to a lesser extent other related functions (e.g. Legal, Finance etc.), therefore the role offers plenty of opportunity to learn and understand how the Federation functions work in support of the China Gao Hua securities business lines.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS OUR IMPACT Compliance Technology provides technology solutions to help Compliance manage the firm's regulatory and reputational risks, and enables them to advise and assist the firm's businesses. The person in this role will have a front-row seat to participate in market driven change for new products and flows and will have a unique platform to dig deep into the trading flows and surveillances and other controls that are necessary to ensure the businesses are running according to regulatory mandates. The opportunity to do programming in support of local Compliance surveillance requirements may also arise from time to time, therefore, the candidate with the ability and inclination to do software development in a large sophisticated environment will be ideal.
JOB SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES
Implementing, integrating, and supporting software as part of regional Compliance Technology
Understanding local regulations for securities firms and uplift current surveillance and control framework
Technology vendor relationship management
Conducting business requirement gathering and facilitate required analysis and discussion to deliver technology solution to business
At least 3 years of working experience, from the financial industry
Highly motivated with a desire to work in a technical role closely aligned with business
Good written and spoken communication skills
Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin); ability to read Chinese a must
Strong teamwork skills
Working knowledge of various operating systems and development tools, e.g. scripting, programming languages, relational databases
Programming experience with a good understanding of SDLC
Vendor management experience
Extensive system integration testing experience
