We are currently looking for Sales Executive / Wholesaler to join our winning team. This role will cover the Edmonton area.
Our Sales Executive / Wholesaler are leaders in their field - if you are interested in being a part of this successful team and have the experience and motivation we are looking for then we want to hear from you. We are currently looking for a Sales Executive / Wholesaler for our markets in the Edmonton area. Working as part of a team with a Territory Coordinator and Business Development Manager, the main purpose is to achieve a specific sales target from a select channel of investment advisors within a defined sales territory.
Develop a thorough understanding of the investment, business development and service needs of approximately 200 selected Investment Advisors by maintaining regular contact with them in one-on-one meetings and branch presentations, and, to a lesser extent, via telephone, mail, e-mail and conference calls
Assess and manage (i.e. monitor commitment) opportunities for co-op marketing from both a business and National Instrument 81-105 perspective, taking ownership over the co-op process from start to finish through written communication with Investment Advisors
Assist in identifying all opportunities to sell and promote Franklin Templeton Investment products at the broker/dealer firm level within a sales territory and communicate those opportunities to National Sales Management
Facilitate your other team members' access to Investment Advisors and branches within the defined sales territory, working closely with the other wholesaler and Territory Coordinator to ensure that all Investment Advisors in the territory are receiving appropriate coverage through execution of the Territory Plan, regular team meetings to review progress and review of the Advisor database.
Qualifications Ideal candidates will have:
Experienced 3+ years annual sales cycles or 5+ years of financial services industry experience in a sales or business development capacity
Ten years related work experience in a sales environment would be an asset
Good understanding of technology from social media, spreadsheets, CRMs to the use of video conferencing technology.
Post-secondary degree or equivalent work experience
Canadian Securities Course - Industry Designations-CFP, CLU, FCSI, CIM, CFA would be an asset.
