We have exciting opportunities for two Senior Associates to be a part of our Corporate and Project Finance Unit within the Finance and Investment Division of Transport for NSW. These positions report to the Executive Director Corporate and Project Finance and play a key role in structuring and delivering commercial outcomes, which in turn help deliver on Transport for NSW's purpose – to make New South Wales a better place by shaping and managing a connected transport system.
New South Wales is in the midst of an unprecedented infrastructure investment program. The 2017-18 Budget provides a record $72.7 billion over the next four years for critical infrastructure in key service delivery areas, with $41.4 billion dedicated to transport projects.
Transport for NSW is the lead agency of the State's transport cluster and is responsible for planning and procuring transport infrastructure and services, improving customer experience, program administration, policy, regulation, and freight. Our infrastructure delivery program includes an unparalleled number of major projects, including Sydney Metro Northwest, Sydney Metro City and Southwest, Sydney Light Rail, NorthConnex, WestConnex, North Sydney Freight Corridor, Newcastle Integrated Service (including Newcastle Light Rail), Parramatta Light Rail and Northern Beaches Bus Rapid Transit.
The Corporate and Project Finance Unit houses the cluster's centralised commercial and financing expertise. The Unit provides commercial, financial and risk management advice as well as origination, structuring and execution services across the cluster and its deliverables include advice and execution on unsolicited proposals, business cases, funding and financing strategies, balance sheet management, procurement, commissioning, contestability and market engagement.
The Senior Associates, Corporate and Project Finance are responsible for developing, advising on and executing high value, complex commercial transactions; conducting and overseeing financial analysis and due diligence processes as well as managing external advisers. The Senior Associates will be involved with innovative funding and financing models, commercial structuring, structured financing, commercial property development as well as negotiating and restructuring contractual arrangements.
We are looking for professionals with advanced skills in executing complex financing and commercial transactions, and a high level of stakeholder collaboration and engagement. The successful applicants will bring professional integrity to the portfolio, and demonstrate accountability in the delivery of strong outcomes and results.
