Our client is a well-respected real estate investment company with offices across the world. They are looking for an Investment Director to join their European Investment & Capital Markets Team, located in London.
Commercial Structuring and Analysis: identify, analyse and recommend optimal capital solutions structures to support their business needs, including consideration of traditional sale, forward sale or funding, investment clubs and funds, asset acquisitions, development JVs, or other funding structures; work with business units and functional teams to define and document capital solutions structures
Transaction Execution: lead or support transaction processes to execute preferred capital solutions on behalf of the company (and development partners) including preparation of (sell side) or assessment of (buy side) marketing and due diligence material, negotiation and transaction execution
External Stakeholder Management: interface with investors, joint venture partners, investment banks, property agents and other advisory firms to analyse and recommend optimal capital solutions outcomes
Financial and Market Analysis: keep abreast of investment market activity, including investor trends, structures, pricing and transactional activity
Preparation of Investment and Strategy Papers: prepare papers in support of investment paper approvals or bespoke strategic analysis
Leadership: as a senior member of the Investment & Capital Markets team, work collaboratively across the business, and provide ongoing guidance to more junior team members
M&A: support and in some cases lead M&A projects for the region, working with the Group M&A team. Identify and track UK and European targets and where relevant lead process to see opportunities though to execution
Experience in the real estate sector from within a corporate, investment bank / agent or advisory firm
In depth transactional and commercial experience, including understanding of valuation and investment appraisal techniques essential
Excellent numerical, analytical and problem solving skills including the presentation and communication of result
Senior level experience, comfortable with CxO leaders where required
