We are seeking an Associate Portfolio Manager and Quantitative Analyst to join our Investment Management Team (IMT). This team member will assist with managing our current domestic equity strategies and expand our capabilities to alternative markets. Candidates should be internally motivated, skilled in quantitative research, and enthusiastic about implementing new and improved ideas. The ideal candidate will also support sales and client relationship efforts upon gaining experience and tenure at Bridgeway.
Assist in managing our current domestic equity strategies.
Perform statistical and economic research on financial data to develop and enhance our domestic quantitative investment strategies.
Conduct research on various aspects of investment strategy implementation in domestic and potentially international markets including transaction cost models, risk models, optimization and portfolio construction.
Support Bridgeway’s thought leadership, business development, and client service efforts.
Support Bridgeway’s mission of achieving transformative change inside the company and in our broader community.
Passion for research and idea generation with strong attention to detail.
Background in statistics, econometrics, factor analysis, financial statement analysis, and optimization applied to investments.
Experience conducting empirical research and working with large financial data sets.
Programming skills in one or more high-level languages.
Demonstrated ability to work on complex projects both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Effective communication, presentation, and writing skills.
Master’s degree (quantitative finance or economics, or possibly another quantitative field, e.g. statistics, computer science, math, physics) with relevant experience and a strong interest in finance.
CAIA Designation is preferred.
Minimum two years of experience in investment research or assisting in portfolio management (work with alternative strategies is preferred).
