Shawbrook Bank are looking to recruit a Credit Manager to join our Group Credit function to play a key role in the continued growth of the business. The role holder will play an active role in the analysis and understanding of credit risks being accepted by the Bank ensuring both Credit Risk Policies and Asset Class policies are taken into consideration. As an active member of the second line risk function you'll oversee lending across a variety of business lines including Asset Finance, Invoice Finance, Structured Finance, Property Finance and Consumer Finance.
Key responsibilities of the role include the following:
Participation in the approval process for exposures within individual discretion.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Bank's Credit Risk Appetite Framework.
Overview Underwriting quality, standards and adherence to Asset Class Policies.
Ensure all the Bank's credit risk management and governance documents are current, fit for purpose and aligned with the Bank's Credit Risk Appetite.
Preparation of papers for Approval, Noting or Discussion at the Bank's various Risk Committees.
Monitoring and reporting on compliance with risk appetite and concentration risk limits.
Suitable candidates will have the following experience:
Knowledge or expertise in one of the following disciplines: Asset Finance, Invoice Finance, Structured Finance, Property Finance or Consumer Finance.
Previously held a lending mandate within a commercial/retail banking environment.
Background of operating and managing within a control environment and compliance with operating procedures.
Knowledge of commercial banking credit risk policy frameworks or experience in analysing SME approvals and underwriting required.
