Our client is a prestigious international Private Bank. They are currently seeking for a high calibre Operational Risk professional to join their business in Hong Kong.
Our client is looking for a VP level Operational Risk candidate, an individual to lead the Private Banking and Corporate Functions management in the region. You will collaborate with other control functions of both 1st and 2nd line of defence, develop good relationship with Private Banking business areas and locations, understand the business strategy, products, risks and controls with clear understanding of end to end process. The role will handle "Loss Investigation Reviews" for APAC PB business, engage in Risk & Control Self – Assessment (RCSA) process, review new business initiatives, challenging role in analysing sources like risk reports, internal audit reports, regulatory reports, losses or key risk indicator data to conclude on residual operational risk and trends.
University degree or banking with several years of successful professional experience
At least 7 years of relevant working experience with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience in a PB risk or control or audit related function, preferably in the APAC region
Ability to think strategically, demonstrate decisiveness and sound judgment on a consistent basis
Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills
Strong ability to cope with pressure and a high level of flexibility
Very good command of English (spoken and written)
