THE FIRM Our client is a leading firm of advisors, which has succeeded in building one of the strongest brands in the London market within just 5 years of inception. They have recently moved into swish new offices in the City, complete with a roof garden and all the other trappings of millennial working life (even ping pong). Led by a dynamic duo of former Bulge Bracket bankers, the firm continues to go from strength to strength, and has recently acquired a very well reputed niche Transport advisory business. As part of this integration, the combined entity seeks to bring on board a talented and ambitious new VP who will focus on rail.
THE ROLE The business and the role are wide-ranging and offer significant opportunity to develop skills and experience across several sectors including rail, aviation, shipping, and associated infrastructure. The role is an execution rather than origination role, but there will be an expectation that over time, there will be an opportunity to progress to a business development function. You will be expected to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, provide detailed quantitative advice, as well as working on a range of activities from corporate finance advice to advising on transaction structures.
THE CANDIDATE To be considered for this opportunity you will need to have between 6-10 years of experience in a leading bank, advisory form or in industry and have been focusing on the transportation sector (you will have advised on Rail). Aside from the above, throughout the process you will need to demonstrate experience of executing complex transactions in the rail sector, taking significant responsibility in the team and have strong financial modelling skills. This role will give you the opportunity to join, and play a key role in growing a market leading platform whilst helping you to springboard your career to the next level.
