A recent fund launch, already with its own large AUM and double digit returns, require a Junior Portfolio Manager to join two existing, highly acclaimed Portfolio Managers. The hire will initially take ownership over Trading responsibilities and with growth in the role, the aim is for the Junior PM to quickly become integral in strategy/idea generation. The ultimate aim, as the strategy/desk continues to grow, is for the individual to become a fully-fledged Portfolio Manager. This is a unique opportunity as the training/learning potential, progression and comp package is arguably unrivalled when benchmarked against its competitors.
It is a prerequisite that candidates must have a first class degree from a top tier university. The ideal candidate would be a high performing IB Trader looking for his/her first move to the buy-side. We are open to level of experience and would be just as comfortable hiring a junior to step up, as we would in hiring a 10yr Trader. You must be highly numerical, analytical, with a passion for financial markets and a personality/communication skills that suit a high volume investment desk.
My client has flexibility over base salary, hence why an Associate level or a Director level IB candidate can still expect a step up in base. The bonus potential can be market leading, as a top performer will earn a large multiple of their base salary as a bonus payment. To hire a star performer at this time of year, my client is prepared to commit to offering a sign on bonus + 2018 guarantee.
