The Business Selection and Conflicts team is responsible for tracking all relevant transactions across Corporate Finance, Markets and GTB in order to identify, evaluate and help manage potential conflicts of interest globally. As such, the BSCO team works very closely with the relevant business groups. The Sydney\u2010based team covers the APAC region, working closely with the respective counterparts based in the Americas and EMEA.
You will be reporting to the APAC Head of BSCO.
You will be responsible for logging potential transactions in the bank's central conflict clearing system, identifying potential conflicts of interest and liaising with Business Selection, Compliance and/or Legal to evaluate and manage those conflicts.
The role will involve validating and capturing relevant transaction and company information, generating deal reports as well as regularly updating the deal information.
The nature of the work involves constant liaison with other members of the global BSCO team as well as direct exposure to the business.
You will have:
Prior exposure to investment banking activities through own experience in a business role, or roles such as Business Management, Control Room, Audit, Operations or Compliance (degree qualifications in a related discipline will be highly regarded)
Excellent communication (oral and written) skills
Excellent team working capabilities
Keen eye for detail
You will be:
