The Senior Vice President of MSC Operations will manage the daily operations of the MIS Support Center (MSC). The MSC, headquartered in Bangalore with a branch in Gurgaon, supports functions within Moody's Investors Service. This is a leadership role reporting to a Managing Director in the New York MIS Research Group. Key responsibilities include-
Operations Management, Controls and Process Efficiency
Ensure smooth operational efficiency in MSC by coordinating across multiple teams like administration, transport, HR etc.
Work across Moody's departments to ensure that controls, policies and procedures are implemented/ followed (e.g. Code of Conduct, Securities Trading, Compliance policies, Procurement policy, Travel Policy, Dress Code etc.).
Communicate breaches of Moody's policy and elevate appropriately.
Where there are inconsistencies between Moody's and MAKS policies, work with stakeholders to ensure consistency in approach and application.
Project manage initiatives to forecast and grow MSC operations e.g. technology and facilities preparedness for forecasted growth.
Leadership and stakeholder management
Develop and execute an overall value proposition and long term strategy and roadmap for MSC.
Serve as senior representative for MSC internally and externally.
Establish and maintain a culture of excellence and compliance. Lead MSC management forums and mentor managers to ensure high quality delivery and satisfaction rates.
Anticipate and manage business, employee or other issues as they arise. Provide recommendations for each such issue.
Liaise with on-shore and off-shore functional stakeholders to identify opportunities to transition global processes to MSC. Oversee transitions and teams as needed.
Collaborate with HR and other teams to build and execute plans to improve diversity, inclusion and employee engagement in MSC.
Ensure contingency plans are in place for all facets of the business (beyond just staff attrition)
Raise all personnel issues to functional managers in MIS including recommendations for hiring and firings.
Work with MAKS HR during the interview process for potential MSC hires
Develop progression and contingency plans for MSC managers, supervisors and staff so there is a smooth transition when turnover occurs
Oversee MSC employee recognition schemes and communicate to Moody's management
Ensure proper set up is completed timely for new hires (security, training and hardware)
Work with MAKS to ensure we have proper IT and HR support on a daily basis
The successful candidate should have experience working in a matrix organization and be able to clearly articulate the benefits and challenges of such when interacting with the diverse groups of that organization
The role requires flexibility in working across time zones.
12+ years of professional experience and at least 5 years of management experience, ideally in an India based offshore operation of a large multi-national company
Creative, results driven, self-motivated, and solutions oriented
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of stakeholders
Enables decision-making; effectively analyzes business drivers and constraints, and presents alternative solutions
Knowledge of a major financial system (preferably Oracle)
Strong organizational skills, analytic skills, and attention to details
Bachelor's degree or equivalent is essential. Master's degree preferred.
