The fund is a leading international mid‐market buyout firm based in North America and Europe. It is currently investing two funds and has a number of investments in diverse sectors ‐ financial services, retail and consumer goods, building products and services, entertainment and healthcare. The primary focus is to enhance the performance of the European portfolio companies. The role is in London, with potential progression into senior roles in the portfolio companies
The role's primary focus is on working with portfolio company CEOs and Senior Management to drive value creation
Sample projects include evaluating and implementing company expansion into new product and geographic markets, optimizing and improving company supply chains and operations, evaluating and modelling pricing strategies, analysing business cases for M&A opportunities, and analysing large customer data sets to build new marketing strategies and improve customer experience. These will be hands‐on roles, drawing on problem solving and execution related skills
Support the investment team in evaluating deals, conducting due diligence (including coordinating work done by third‐party suppliers / consultants), as well as developing 200 Day Planning efforts (value creation plan developed prior to deal closing)
Experience from a top‐notch business consulting firm, ideally in a combination of business consulting and operational management (generalist or specialist), or other relevant leadership roles in companies or private equity firms
Functional skills – general strategy / commercial experience and spikes in one / some of operations, IT, marketing / commercial (pricing, market entry, go‐to‐market or sales work)
One additional European language strongly preferred (French or German preferred, or Spanish)
Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and creative problem-solving ability
Self-motivated and proactive, both with respect to managing workload and own professional development
Strong communication skills, including the soft skills needed to garner trust from senior management teams
