Job Summary / Job Purpose
Responsible for overall business operations of the branch. Oversees all personal, commercial & investment banking activities of the branch and its assigned region. Exercise executive and administrative control over all functions in the branch to ensure all local activities are conducted in compliance with the local regulations and SG policies.
Main Responsibilities / Accountabilities / Tasks
Work closely with business lines, to drive business revenue and strive for highest profitability through managing cost and increasing productivity
Promote synergies between commercial banking and other B / L
Formulate and implement business strategy in light of various customer needs in the respective areas
Handle key customer relationship and provide management support in customer retention and solicitation
Represent the Bank in local financial community, industry groups, key customers, local municipalities and regulators, and the general public to enhance the Bank's reputation and corporate presence in local market
Act proactively in order to develop the sub-branches network in the area
Work closely with Compliance, Risk Management and Operational Risk Management teams to mitigate all potential operational risks, as well as other supporting functions leaders to ensure our operations are in compliance with local regulations and SG policies
Accountable for risks taken in the branch
Oversee effective functioning of systems and operations in the branch including premises management
Contribute to staff recruitment, perform effective people management and develop local team for building a competent and engaged workforces in the branch
Support products and business licenses applications, ensure a local governance structure is in place with the necessary functional support
Other ad hoc tasks / relevant responsibilities as assigned by top management
University degree or above
Working Experience / Technical Skills & Know how
At least 10 years work experience in financial industry in particular commercial banking, and at least 6 years experience in people and business management
Full exposure in branch operations covering both business side and back office operations
