Driving the national sales effort by identifying opportunities and qualifying leads in the financial intermediary space (BD, RIA, Trust Company and TAMP) to expand new business from an existing and prospective target audience
Providing information to sell firm solutions through technical knowledge, an awareness of markets and the financial services industry, and effective use of literature
Building intermediary relationships by analyzing investment opportunities and intermediaries’ needs, as well as recommending appropriate strategies/solutions designed to achieve their business goals
Preparing and delivering presentations/seminars to both small and large audiences of senior managers of investment firms and their advisors
Working closely with the Head of Intermediary Sales and the National Sales Team to ensure seamless communication on all initiatives and handoffs to the National Sales Team
Servicing the client’s requests regarding firm solutions through operational and procedural knowledge, including the effective use of personnel from all areas of Altegris – research, legal, operations, marketing and compliance.
Outstanding academic qualifications, including an advanced degree or professional certification, (CFA, CIMA, CAIA, CFP or other) with 5 + years of business experience and proven success in a Asset Management field.
Ability to travel 50%+ of the month
Experience in a hands-on role in client service or a senior manager role that provides extensive insight into the one or more market segments (wirehouses, independents, RIAs, trust companies, TAMPS). RIA’s, trust companies and TAMPS experience preferred.
Strong telephone communication skills and an eagerness to initiate sales through outgoing call initiatives
Excellent track record and fluency in alternative investments
Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, product and platform managers, CIOs and senior analysts
Excellent writing and oral communication skills, particularly to large audiences
A strong ability to explain complex investment solutions, services, and concepts in a compelling manner
High energy level, with flexibility to work long hours at times to accommodate special client needs
Series 7, 63 or 66 FINRA License (and preferably a Series 3 (or 31) NFA License)
There is flexibility on asset center locations but prefer east coast metropolitan location
