Lead and support the full settlement process of loan syndications, secondary loan trades, collateralized loan obligations, restructures/amendments, perfect asset swaps, and trade claims related to the firm's European portfolios
Monitor and process trade details into the loan administration system, gathering and tracking information on trades from Credit Research, Portfolio Management, and/or Counterparties, and verifying trades booked by other analysts within team
Perform and oversee the analytics for the firm's European portfolios which include both collateralized loan obligations and loan funds – Responsibilities include the production of monthly investor reports, maintaining appropriate investment guidelines and compliance restrictions, provide regular and ad-hoc analysis to portfolio managers and clients
Participate in the regular review of the business unit's reporting and metrics and provide detailed analysis and status of the trades to portfolio managers and traders
Communicate with administrative agents, agent banks and counterparties to maintain KYC documentation as well as resolve issues involving trade positions, delayed compensation, cost of carry fees, ticking fees, etc.
Provide daily operational and analytical support to various internal groups including the Middle Office, Client Services, Compliance, Credit Research, and Portfolio Management
Provide support to the US loan product in addition to European loans if needed
Maintenance of reference data (Ratings, Recovery rates, Industries, Spreads, Maturities, etc.) for underlying portfolio assets which feed the reporting and compliance systems
Collaborate with Middle Office, Client Services, Compliance, Credit Research, and Portfolio Management on ad-hoc work in conjunction with managed portfolios – This may include, but is not limited to, dealing with ad-hoc investor requests for specialized information, working with external rating agencies, accountants, auditors and underwriters who may be different for each different portfolio
Desired Skills and Experience:
3-5 years of experience in loan settlements, operations and administration
Working knowledge of the loan product and related documentation (Credit Agreement, Administrative Agreement, etc.)
Familiarity with a loan administration and reporting system (Wall Street Office, SentryPM, CDO Suite, etc.)
Familiarity with loan restructures/amendments and resulting instruments (Bonds, Warrants, Equity, etc.)
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize and work in a fast paced environment
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Strong communication, organizational and time-management skills
