The purpose of the position is to support GAM’s institutional consultant relations effort in North America. This position will directly support the Managing Director – Head of Consultant Relations, North America and will act as their key liason for providing the highest level of support and service for consultants.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Help coordinate RFI/RFP responses and compile detailed investment strategy communication
Prepare and adapt presentations and other marketing material for consultant meetings, and obtain approval by local compliance
Maintain CRM (Microsoft Dynamics) to ensure reporting, contacts and mailing lists are up-to-date
Manage on-going electronic mailings via the CRM
Help coordinate portfolio manager and strategy roadshows across North America
Ensure that consultant reports are accurate and delivered in a timely manner
Establish strong relationships with internal GAM teams to ensure all consultant inquiries are accurately responded to
Participate in consultant review meetings
Manage ad-hoc consultant requests and ensure they are responded to by deadline given
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification and Requirements
Computer literate, in particular with Microsoft Office products and a very high level of proficency in PowerPoint and Excel; familiarity with CRM systems
Knowledge of the institutional market, investment products including alternative investments
3 to 4 years experience at an asset management or consulting firm preferred
College degree required, with an MBA, CFA, CAIA a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to recognise and distil most important information into useful formats
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Good time management skills and accuracy of content
Self-motivated, team player who applies ‘common sense checks’ to tasks
