Our client is a leading international fund manager, with presence in Europe, Asia and Australia. The firm provides a renowned investment management platform and manages a significant portfolio on behalf of their investors. They invest across multiple asset classes – equities, fixed income, infrastructure, corporate loans and receivables/asset finance, and real estate. Strong market activity and changes in some other firms risk appetite have seen a greater opportunity for them in asset finance. As such, they are now looking for a Associate Director / Director to join their Asset Finance team in Sydney.
Reporting the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the relationship management of origination sources, transaction delivery and compliance of your portfolio. In addition you will manage the performance of an asset finance portfolio, in particular margin, losses and operating costs. Also, you will be a key member of the business and expected to contribute to the overall success of the strategy.
You will ideally be tertiary qualified with at least 8-10 years established financial services experience. To be successful, you will need a strong working knowledge of corporate and asset based lending and risk assessment of the same. In addition, it is expected you will have proven negotiation skills, client relationship and transaction skills, as well as be highly numerate, energetic and a strong advocate of team.
