As a Credit Risk Manager in London, you'll be expected to:
Complete credit applications, in line with BACB policy & procedures. It is expected that the role holder will work closely with the front office and other credit managers. These will often involve complex transactions and will require the role holder to consider alternative structures. The role holder will be expected to discuss these with Senior Management, advising on key material risks with a firm recommendation.
The role will focus on Corporates and Financial Institutions and the role holder will be go to person within credit control. They will be expected to provide support by challenging, advising and giving opinions to protect the Bank from losses arising from credit, political, market and operational risk
The role holder will also assist the Head of credit with the review of policies and procedures, ensuring that robust systems and controls are in place that reflect the Banks risk appetite and goals
Mentoring/coaching junior analysts
Adopt ad hoc projects from time to time
Support other functions within the team.
As a Credit Risk Manager in London, you'll be expected to have:
Fluent French (focus is on Francophone Africa market)
Superior credit application and analytical skills with an in-depth understanding of corporate and FI products and all related risks
Expert knowledge of relevant accounting, legal and regulatory issues in the UK. Exposure to GCC markets would be an added advantage.
Previous credit analysis experience in a similar role, with experience in structuring and mitigated risk in complex transactions. Previous lending authority
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships
Financial Degree, ACIB or equivalent preferred.
