What is the opportunity? Lead and oversee the planning and delivery of complex migration programs within approved time frame, scope, and budget, utilizing a team of direct reports, dedicated, seconded, matrixed and contract staff to ensure program goals and objectives are accomplished. Align the objectives and execution of the migration programs with overall organization and enterprise objectives and context. Executive stakeholder management is a critical component of this role with routine updates to the most senior executive levels. As a member of the Global Data Centre Strategy and Programs Senior Management Team, responsibilities will include leading initiation business case design and PAR development in support of the regional teams. As a member of the Global Data Centre Strategy and Programs Senior Management Team, responsibilities will include leading initiatives directly prior to assignment of a dedicated Program Manager, and in-depth support of quality executive reporting and communications.
What will you do?
Coach program/project managers toward their development and continuous improvement, including coaching project management best practices
Establish a process for the identification of program/project issues. Resolve complex program issues and escalates to executive/steering committee and manages resolution as required
Oversee the production of management documents
Contribute to development and evolution of the Migration Centre of Excellence, and leverage the Centre's practices and resources to support program objectives
Integrate project plans at program level creating estimating models as required, refine plan and manage performance against it
Continually enhance the high performing team, supporting stretch opportunities and challenges with coaching and mentoring, creating a working environment of high engagement
Provide leadership and direction to direct reports, creating a working environment of high employee engagement with focus on delivering high quality, low risk, and lower cost data centre solutions to the enterprise
Communicate program status and updates to stakeholders and executive leadership team
Build strong relationship with partner organizations to enable highest quality client service
Facilitate the relationships with third party vendors as appropriate to support creation of quality deliverables
What do you need to succeed? Must-have
Demonstrated leadership ability with proven executive presentation and influence capabilities
Demonstrated data centre portfolio strategy success, including large business case development
Experience leading programs with very high level of value (benefit/cost), complexity and uncertainty
Expert knowledge of program and project plan development & management, scheduling methodology, waterfall and iterative methodologies, program and project metrics, analysis, and status reporting
Advanced knowledge of relevant technology, standards, methodologies and audit requirements
PMP and/or PgMP certification
