In this role you will further develop and support the implementation of the Compliance Value Chain. You will continuously enhance the Compliance Value Chain as well as support the implementation of the enhancements. You will be responsible for refining and managing the assurance, oversight and reporting procedures. Acting as a proactive Member of the Compliance Executive Team, you will provide assurance regarding the adequacy and effectiveness of the Compliance and control processes across the Group, hereby supporting the discharge of the Compliance functional mandate.
As a Head of Assurance and Compliance Management you will establish and manage the resource at CC ensuring the fulfilment of the assigned tasks and achievement of the annual objectives. Further responsibilities will involve:
Conceptualizing, and designing the Group's Compliance Value Chain (i.e., risk assessment, planning, policy implementation, risk-based monitoring and assurance reporting); developing the implementation approach; establishing a continuous enhancement process and maintaining the design.
Providing (independent) assurance regarding the adequacy (incl. regulatory compliance) and effectiveness of the Group's Compliance assurance processes, hereby supporting the discharge of the Compliance function mandate at a Group level. This includes identifying, analyzing, tracking and reporting of interrelated risks based on e.g., compliance risk assessments, monitoring etc.
Building and maintaining group level Compliance oversight and reporting procedures and (technical) solutions allowing to maintain and document oversight of the function for the purpose of effective functional management, in line with available resources establish and maintain a portfolio of relevant operational developments and trends of relevance to Compliance
Preparing and delivering functional management reporting at group and potentially regional level as well as reporting to the ZIG / ZIC Audit Committee, moving from the current process-focused ZIG / ZIC Audit Committee reporting to one that is more content-focused and action-oriented
Ensuring coordination and alignment with other Group functions e.g., Risk Management and Audit, where relevant
Ensuring relevant Compliance documents (incl. Zurich Compliance Program, Zurich Compliance Charter) are continuously updated, maintained and disseminated in the organization
Supporting the Group Compliance Officer in executing oversight and the management of the function.
Contributing to the overall development of the function, defining of clear processes and deliverables and effective execution of the mandate
Your Skills and Experience As a Head of Assurance and Compliance Management your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
Professional education (University level) in at Economics, Business Administration, Law or Risk Management
Operational Risk Management Compliance and Compliance Assurance experience is required
In-depth practical knowledge of Insurance business model and operations, Insurance products and Insurance regulations and regulatory developments
Strong knowledge of Zurich's business set-up, Zurich's global operating model and operations
Advanced skills and experience in pro-active problem solving, issue identification, impact assessment and option development (conceptualization) as well as recommendation development
Project portfolio management and change management skills
Excellent relationship management and influencing skills
Strong written and verbal communication (incl. presentations skills)
Superior skills in service delivery
Strong people management skills
Excellent command of English is required. German and any additional language would be an asset.
