A senior leadership role exists within a well known, highly regarded banking organisation in the CBD. This role will see you building the AML Risk function for the 1 st Line Business. This is a strategic leadership role with significant scope and responsibility. Implement and manage ongoing frameworks for Financial Crime obligations
Develop strategy plans to manage Financial Crime Risk against Group Policies
Interpret and implement policy documents form a local and overseas level
Be the main person to conduct all internal and external committees relating to Financial Crime
Develop relevant processes and procedures to ensure that all internal controls are in place
Prepare Reports and Relevant external Risk Papers
Work hand in hand with 2 nd line and Enterprise Level financial crime teams for advice and monitoring issues
To be considered for this position you will ideally have the following skills & experience;
Extensive AML/CTF/Financial Crime experience from the banking & financial services arena. Regulatory body (preferably AUSTRAC) experience highly regarded.
Ability to demonstrate a deep technical understanding of AML/CTF challenge & trends.
Sound understanding of Australian AML laws & regulatory requirements.
Correspondent Banking experience will be highly regarded.
Legal, business or aligned tertiary qualifications.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information to various stakeholders.
Self-Starter, able to own your own work, operate at a senior level up to GM level whilst still being able to be hands on with the detail
