The FIM business at UBS is considered a leading provider to independent asset managers and other financial intermediaries. By opening several pieces of our WM value chain, such as investment content, platform services, tools, reporting, and custody services, we develop synergistic relationships with our clients enabling efficient growth to both parties.
The FIM business is a nascent but growing business in Asia Pacific. Recent studies indicate an expected growth rate of north of 10% in the next years. Reflecting the expected growth and increased regional importance, UBS is committed to finding a senior APAC FIM Head, who will be responsible for steering our APAC strategy, fostering growth, enforcing and developing strong governance, and ensuring that UBS continues to be seen as the ideal partner and market leader.

Your main responsibilities will include : - Steering the APAC FIM strategy ensuring profitable growth in our established locations while exploring new possibilities across other APAC booking centers - Managing a regional dedicated teams split across two hubs in Singapore and Hong Kong respectively - Ensuring UBS breadth is effectively delivered based on client needs and that our brand is effectively associated as premium and market leading - Effecting strong governance bodies and ensure segment's control framework is appropriately developed and executed - Coordinating with local senior management to ensure segment strategy is known and aligned with regional priorities - Representing UBS in the FIM industry and ensuring our brand is recognized and differentiated as the ideal partner not just as a trusted depositary bank - Demonstrating and supporting an effective results oriented culture, through systematic client acquisition, effective relationship management and seamless operational excellence - Role modelling the UBS behaviors of integrity, collaboration and challenge

Your team You will manage a Hong Kong based team and a Singapore based team. Each team consists of business developers, account managers, and assistants and are locally managed by location hub heads. In the absence of a HK Hub Head, you may initially dual head as APAC Regional head and HK hub head. In your HK hub head capacity you will also have a local reporting line, where as in your APAC regional head capacity, you will report to the Global Head of FIM. You will represent the APAC region at the Global FIM management committee.
Your experience and skills You have: – 15+ year experience managing teams across different locations in wealth management or asset management – Proven track record in developing and growing new business – Knowledge of the FIM industry and an established regional network – Technical knowledge across platform, investment products, and/or fund administration can be an advantage – Ability to manage complexity and build trust and credibility with key stakeholders – Skills in problem solving and troubleshooting with the ability to exercise mature judgment – Ability to effect change and execute within a lean set up
You are: – A strong leader – Client oriented – Solution oriented and pragmatic – Able to collaborate with stakeholders, while constructively ensuring segment priorities are met – Fluent written and verbal English; Proficiency in Chinese is a plus – Comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels and across functions – Able to build networks and connections – Accountable and known for result oriented management
