We are seeking an experienced candidate to assist in the Project Management of large transition events, and to work with colleagues to deliver consistent, high quality solutions to all clients.
Responsibilities will include:
To be able to take the lead in project managing small events with management oversight.
To work collaboratively with the transition manager to understand client requirements for each event and to assist in the production of a project plan which will deliver those requirements.
To work with colleagues to contribute to the formulation of implementation strategies resulting in the production of a run book or timeline.
To work with major stakeholders internally and externally (clients, consultants, legacy and target managers, custodian) to gather information relevant to each event and to ensure roles and responsibilities are clearly defined.
To assist in the identification of operational and implementation risks pertaining to each event and help to develop solutions/strategies in mitigation.
To deliver a positive experience to customers by understanding their needs and requirements and treating them fairly.
To identify potential transition opportunities and to work with senior colleagues to deliver these.
To assist colleagues in the project management of larger events being undertaken by other investment teams.
Required Skills & Experience:
an understanding of Investment Management processes gained through experience within an Asset/Investment Manager
will need a broad understanding of general financial instruments and products
a high standard of organisational skills – ideally through having managed projects previously
an excellent attention to detail
a high standard of verbal and written communication skills
the ability to work collaboratively and to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
a strong understanding of Excel
