Supervising a team for Rates or FX Trade Support for Asia ex-Japan and Australia
Manage daily Trade Support functions and related Operational Risk.
Perform capacity and resource planning for the team.
Liaise with Regional and Global Business and Support partners.
Lead and grow the individuals within the team.
Work with offshore units to deliver BAU
Middle Office Trade Support Team responsibilities include:
Trade Capture Substantiation
STP Trades: Monitor Markitwire exception queues for trade capture and amendments.
For Non-STP trades: Validation of trade capture and amendments by Trading Assistant against external documentation (broker confirms or Reuters print outs).
Amendments of trades in special cases in the system of records.
EOD controls around completeness of processes and related reporting.
EOD reporting for day activity
EOD valuations of new trades
Valuation changes for amendments.
Monitor Trade Events and ensure processing completeness.
Support Rates and Currency business across the region.
Infrastructure and other projects:
On-going migration of Rates and Currencies systems to target platforms.
Continuous Process Improvement by benchmarking to Global Standards ("Process Excellence")
Strategic infrastructure planning
Projects to improve team engagement and satisfaction, efficiencies and resource utilization
University Graduate or above.
Relevant experience for at least 6-8 years. Rates and Currencies Trade Support experience preferred but Equity/Credit and/or Back Office experience will also be considered.
Track record of thought and people leadership. Should have led regional initiatives for new ideas and/or implementations.
Experience with offshoring will be an advantage.
Good communication skills with a pleasant and assertive personality.
