This position in Cargill's Commodity Markets Compliance Group is part of a team responsible for collecting, analysing and following up on data relating to derivative transactions, positions and accounts and related physical market activities across Cargill. This includes monitoring for compliance with key regulatory rules applying to derivatives and ensuring that Cargill meet external financial regulatory reporting requirements.
Regulatory requirements globally that impact Cargill have significantly increased since the global financial crisis and regulators and exchanges have also increased their scrutiny of existing requirements. This role will play a key part in Cargill's regulatory compliance program.
The position holder will take primary accountability for specific activities- initially primarily market abuse monitoring. You will work closely with other team members, the program lead for surveillance, monitoring and analytics and the wider compliance group. There will be extensive interaction with business groups engaged in derivative activity across Cargill globally.
Manage the day to day integrity of Cargill's market abuse monitoring system, ensuring data is properly uploaded into the system and processed
Manage the alerts process within this system, coordinating the follow up of alerts and recording conclusions
Assist and back up Cargill's position limit monitoring process including but not limited to; daily upload verification, account and product mapping, information/ dash board follow up, hedging exemption tracking and data integrity and reconciliation checks
Assist with the collection, review, validation and reporting of Cash market position information.
Overview and monitoring of external derivative transaction reporting
Working on team initiatives within the compliance team
Good Database, Excel and system skills/experience
Working knowledge of derivative products and markets
Able to research and understand complex rules relating to regulatory compliance
Attention to detail
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Strong organisational skills, multi-tasking and project planning skills with the ability to pro-actively prioritise and consistently execute at a high standard
Experience of working closely with other team members to achieve successful outcomes
Previous regulatory compliance experience would be strongly preferred
Knowledge of cash commodity markets would be advantageous
Previous experience of regulatory risk/ reporting and/ or accounting would be advantageous
A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) or qualified through relevant experience
