My client is a growing $3bn+ FUM multi product fund manager. Its track record of creating unique fund products which have all performed well, and its alliances with multiple large dealer/planning groups have been the reason for its strong continued growth. Asset classes covered are: Private Equity, Real estate, Infrastructure/renewables, Global Equities, Fixed Income. The distribution team has 4 in Sydney (Including the 'head of' and a BDA) and a BDM/BDA team of two in Melbourne. The culture is one that treats BDMs as adults around managing their work flow.
Reporting to the head of distribution you will be targeting the IFA markets around Australia (wherever you believe you can pick up 'wins', and with the exception of Victoria). You will have close access to the fund managers for 80% of the products and will be able to embed yourselves in the investment strategy to be able to articulate that to the market. We will only hire a BDM who has done this role before at the BDM/Key accounts level (not BDA level), who has existing relationships in the local IFA market. What you will get in return is a mature environment and one that believes in giving the BDMs the ingredients to succeed.
