Overall purpose of role: The position will be utilized to create data science capability for AI / Machine Learning / Data Mining projects for the markets business. This will be a highly collaborative and project driven role. The candidate can be expected to work with multiple teams in equities, rates, macro, FX or credit
Successful candidate will be involved with creation of:
Market Making Activity: Assist in creation of pricing and hedging algorithms
Market intelligence: Researching micro and macro trends, outliers, event detection and creation of quant colour.
Sophisticated client analysis: researching for alpha, interest and information in client flows
Product Analysis: researching pattern in trading activities under different market and product settings to improve client experience
Centralized modelling library for other groups and data scientists
Additionally, the candidate will be required to:
Hold regular training sessions for the models created and released
Stay in front of current research in machine learning
Create white papers and content that are relevant for the firm's clients
PhD, Master's or Bachelors degree in quantitative disciplines such as Mathematics, applied statistics, machine learning, data mining, econometrics or operations research
Relevant work experience in implementing machine learning models in real life situations
Experience in analyzing large data sets available in systems such as Hadoop or KDB
Experience in working with statistical softwares such as R & MATLAB
Experience in working with SQL, Python, Scala and JAVA
