We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Independent Model Review Manager, Markets.
In this role, you will
Independent Review and validation of Front Office pricing and Traded Risk models for Global Markets.
Ensure good communication with stakeholders and global counterparts.
Delivering clear and coherent messages to the Business and other stakeholders on quantitative issues and reviews.
Provide practical support for independent model reviews systems and tools.
Adhering to Independent Model Review Governance, Policy and Review Framework. Responsible for adhering to policy cascaded from Group Risk such as Global Head of Independent Model Review.
Timely and quality delivery of reviews as well as supporting more junior staff throughout the review process, as required.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements
Post graduate degree in Mathematics, Finance Engineering, Physics, Statistics, Operations Research, or a related field.
Knowledge of topical regulatory items within the industry.
Experience across various modelling areas of the organisation to understand requirements of different type of model and applicability of different techniques, especially traded risk and Front Office pricing models for Global Markets.
Has developed a satisfactory level of professional competence which helps to determine model related solutions and to articulate complex and sensitive information and situations in meaningful and concise ways.
Ability to lead change, contributing to joining up with the other teams in Independent Model Review area globally.
Strong communication, influencing, negotiation skills to form effective relationships across the modelling teams and model governance authorities in the organization, as well as interface with Audit and Regulators.
Proven ability to prioritise competing and conflicting demands and problem solve.
Strong analytical skills and programming skills Visual Basic for Applications, C++, Matlab.
