What is the opportunity?
The Fund Accounting Manager will report to the Executive Director and work in the Global Operations Team, focusing on various parts of Alcentra's Global Credit Platform. Specifically, they will:
Have oversight and support of the fund accounting function and shadow NAV reconciliation with third party administrators.
Calculate and monitor FX exposure and execute FX Forward trades for hedging purposes.
Support and lead projects to develop Alcentra's performance attribution analysis and have statistical reporting capabilities.
Represent the Global Operations team in working groups for new fund initiatives and have ongoing consultation with internal departments on all operation aspects of the funds.
Produce and maintain fund portfolio reports.
Liaise with the funds auditors.
Work with risk & compliance to deliver both in-house and regulatory reports.
Supervise junior members of staff.
Qualifications Successful candidates will likely possess the following (or equivalent qualifiers):
Experienced fund accountant from a buy side firm.
Should have a good understanding of the lifecycle of a fund.
Experience of the credit asset class and complex fund structures is essential.
Reliable, personable, hardworking and contributes well as part of a team.
High level of attention to detail is essential.
Ability to manage ones workload while adhering to tight deadlines.
University Degree preferred and evidence that the individual is interested in finance generally.
Accounting or part accountant qualified is desirable.
