Responsibilities broadly include:
staying abreast of market developments to understand where future opportunities may exist
monitoring existing portfolio of loans and investments working together with commercial team members to ensure ongoing compliance and new facilities
screening new opportunities including developing detailed and reliable development plans that ultimately become the basis for loans and investments
working together with other members of deal team to appropriately structure financing facilities with regard to risks you have identified
representing Macquarie at Technical Committee Meetings for assets where we hold a non-operated asset interests
strong Petroleum Engineering skills with a particular focus on reserves and resources determination
excellent communication skills including an ability to engage with clients and convey key technical risks to team members with a commercial background
problem solving and an ability to work semi-autonomously, as the key technical person in the Asia-Pacific region for Energy Markets
ability to identify material issues and work together with financing team to mitigate risks
working quickly to screen new opportunities with limited information
Applicants with appropriate academic qualifications and practical experience working in the upstream oil and gas industry are sought.
