Compliance Officer: Our client is a diversified financial services business with operations in the US, Europe and AsiaPac. They have a unique product offering that offer B2B platforms a more cost effective solution. They have grown from $1bn to $5bn in the last 10 years and this growth is likely to increase in 2017, 2018 and beyond. They have a great team with some really impressive individuals.
Implement and execute on Compliance and AML/Anti-Fraud Programs. Prepare and implement policies and procedures designed to mitigate exposure. Ensure program is maintained and relevant.
Fill in and submit the SARs to the regulator.
Perform basic and enhanced due diligence screening on new and existing US & Non-US clients. Document and maintain all due diligence evidence
Analyze post-execution transactions reported by the AML transaction monitoring system for suspicious activity warranting attention/escalation.
Document and maintain all transaction monitoring evidence
Assist originators to advise on specific compliance requirements and regulations. Escalate issues to management as appropriate
Track all outstanding documentation where temporary exceptions have been granted or transaction monitoring Request for Information (RFI) and follow-up with the business and Management as needed
Review and escalate positive matches for negative news alerts Regulatory Data Corporation or suspicious activity to the leadership
Legal awareness. Monitor changes in relevant legislation and adjust internal regulations accordingly. Advise the Management Board on compliance, regulatory, AML risk. Provide guidance and policy interpretation
University degree (law, audit, risk management)
3+ year experience in an compliance role and anti-money laundering
Experience working in financial services (bank, payment institution)
Excellent knowledge of relevant legislation and standards
Previous exposure to the implementation of compliance programs, systems, procedures and controls
Understanding of consumer frauds and ability to identify potentially suspicious activity
Demonstrated ability to work independently, set priorities and meet deadlines
Strong problem analysis skills
Ability to handle confidential information with due care
Computer literate - knowledge of MS Office, operating systems and database tools
Our client has a base salary pegged between $65,000 - $85,000 + Bonus + Excellent benefits including and outstanding healthcare plan.
