Lead manage and oversee the groups aml process for investigation of potentially suspicious activity
Review AML technical solutions to support the current business and new business developments
Lead and oversee the suspicious transaction reporting process and Investigation and management of potential sanction matches
Determine training and compliance procedural support as required and implement within agreed timeframe
Pro-actively act as first line of defence in managing AML compliance
Work closely with each of the Country Directors and local AML Managers to ensure awareness and the provision of support on matters relating to group reporting and final sign-off of country Business rules and Decision Matrices
Also regularly deal with the relevant local authority's organisations to keep up to date with conferences and courses and required trainings
Drafting and presenting MLRO reports for quartering Board meetings
Report findings to senior management, central bank and other authorities in relevant jurisdictions
This is a controlled function role
Bachelor's degree or equivalent education
ACOI Compliance Diploma (LCOI) / Certificate or aspire to complete within agreed timeframe
Relevant experience within the European market in complex retail/consumer financial services/payment services organizations with multiple financial products, or a regulatory agency or law firm involving payment services compliance issues relating to anti-money laundering acts, and related laws/regulations
Be an expert in anti-money laundering and counter terrorist financing compliance, general compliance and/or risk based compliance
Previous experience of Aml regulations within the banking/financial services industry.
In-depth understanding/exposure to EU Regulations/Legislation
Have knowledge of retail/commercial financial products/services.
Proven people management experience
You have strong analytical skills
Additional European languages would be beneficial (e.g., German, Italian or Spanish)
