Perform risk assessment on ECM or capital market transaction proposals and make recommendations for approval;
Financial modeling and analysis or evaluation of trends and issues in the financial markets or specific industry sectors (fundamental analysis);
Develop internal risk management policies and procedures relating to the ECM or capital market businesses and help improve the overall ECM risk management process;
Help evaluate structured equity and credit trades (such as equity swaps and rates products) from a counterparty and credit risk perspective;
Calculate monthly risk capital for hedging counterparties, overseas brokers and custodians;
Be highly flexible and perform counterparty credit risk related tasks such as collateral risk management and margin call process; and
Expected to become a subject matter expert either in fundamental credit analysis, counterparty credit and collateral risk, or capital market risk specialist in a few years time.
Relevant analytical experience (minimum of 5 years) gained from private equity firms, securities firms or investment banks;
Risk management experience on corporate finance transactions, ECM, capital market, or direct investment is highly desirable;
Knowledge in the SFC rules & regulations, or other relevant international rules and regulations (such as the listing rules or uncleared margin rules). To be able to comprehend the rules and regulations, a high level of language proficiency is expected;
Detail oriented and team player candidates with excellent planning as well as execution capabilities;
Strong problem solving skills and able to work under minimal supervision;
A self starter with a sense of responsibility and have a strong determination to develop a career in risk management;
Suitable for candidates who have Global Market experiences in either counterparty risk, collateral management, investment research (buy or sell side) or corporate banking credit analysis;
Have a mature character and share the same team value with the rest of the team and department; and
Good command of written and spoken Chinese and English; Proficiency in Putonghua is a must.
