Duties & Responsibilities:
Manages a portfolio of regulatory reporting change requirements and business initiatives. Works with relevant stakeholders to determine the scope, requirements and solutions for assigned projects and ensures execution of objectives. Communicates progress, issues, and solutions to management and business partners to obtain their input or buy-in as appropriate.
Acts as a regulatory reporting subject-matter-expert in stakeholder interactions. Responsible for maintaining a deep understanding of regulatory reporting requirements and impacts to associated businesses. Serves as liaison between various internal business partners, including IT, Legal & Compliance, and Investment Operations.
Supports the regulatory reporting function by acting as a reviewer and escalation point for daily operational duties. Performs required operational work as and when team requires. Identifies operational process gaps and offers solutions to improve processes.
Promotes relationship management and pro-actively fosters effective communication. Anticipates stakeholder needs and ensures communication occurs across internal departments and external partners.
Designs, implements, and performs controls. Prepares and analyses management reports to validate performance trends and escalate issues to management.
Mentors and coaches other team members. Supplements and supports on the job training as needed. Provides regular feedback regarding teammate performance to the management team.
Participates in special projects and perform other duties as assigned
Undergraduate degree in business discipline or equivalent combination of training and experience
Strong understanding of Transaction reporting regulations including MIFID and EMIR
Relevant of business related experience in progressively more responsible roles, including two or more years' experience delivering regulatory knowledge
Excellent judgement and proven ability to analyze issues quickly and independently take appropriate action under tight time frames
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to influence business partners and interact with all levels of the organization
Demonstrated ability to function in fast paced, ambiguous environment working with multiple and diverse responsibilities
Strong work ethic. Demonstrated willingness to contribute to the overall success of the business.
