We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Crime Compliance Consultant to support the Financial Crime Compliance Manager in the delivery and maintenance of controls in the prevention of all aspects of financial crime across the M&G Group of companies.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Support the Financial Crime Compliance Manager in the delivery of all first line activities for the FCC * To work as a wider team in delivering all requirements of M&G's financial crime policies * To complete due diligence on all relevant business relationships, clients, transactions, suppliers and distributors * To receive and respond to suspicions and queries received in to the team. * To conduct transaction monitoring and sanctions screening. * To communicate any areas of potential efficiencies to the Financial Crime Compliance Manager * Ensure controls in place to detect and prevent fraud are working, delivered and are sufficient for business activity * Ensuring that controls in place to prevent breaches of sanctions regimes are delivered and are sufficient for business activity * Identify and escalate potential high risk triggers * Maintain Management Information (MI) data in an accurate and clear manner for utilisation in monthly reports * Maintain an up to date knowledge of financial crime matters
What are we looking for?
Ideally, you will hold a recognised industry qualification(s) in one of the following; FCC, AML, Fraud, Sanctions, AB&C, and have experience in an AML analyst role that has developed your understanding of know your customer and client due diligence requirements along with Transaction Monitoring experience.
You will need to have good knowledge of all areas of financial crime and US, UK and European AML regulatory and legal environments.
You will ideally show the following skills and attributes:
* A demonstrated working knowledge of global financial crime regulatory and legal requirements, specifically customer due diligence requirements. * Ability to identify and analyse financial crime risks in order to present a recommendation to appropriate escalation points. * Innovative and forward thinking to promote the FCC framework * Takes ownership and responsibility for their own work, consistently delivering high quality output within deadlines. * Excellent written and communication skills, communicating succinctly with senior stakeholders * Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and demands, * Identifies development areas and discusses ways to better these with the Financial Crime Compliance Manager
