Position Description The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day support of the APAC Securities Lending (SBL) desks. Working within the SBL trade support team, the role would suit a candidate with minimum of 2 years of operations experience who is self-driven and has a commercial mindset to partner with and help develop the business. Daily activities focus on trade support functions such as trade bookings, position management and optimization, collateral management and the reconciliation of cash and securities positions.
Ownership of day-to-day securities lending transactional processing for APAC markets.
Building and maintaining relationships with the Front Office, support teams and street counterparties.
Trade bookings and securities transfers
Position management and optimization.
Mark-to-market counterparty exposure management and oversight.
Reporting and escalating issues appropriately and in a timely manner.
Building and maintaining relationships with clients, the Front Office and supporting teams.
Adhering to control procedures, identifying gaps and ensuring controls are implemented to close those gaps.
Scrutinizing processes to identify issues within the flows and then working with senior management to drive through change and process enhancements.
Involvement in ad-hoc projects and liaising with both internal and external counterparts in different regions
Ability to work under pressure while adhering to tight deadlines.
Attention to detail and the ability to process tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
Quantitative, analytical and proactive
Control focused with a good understanding of risk and the impact of errors. Able to initiate solutions to remediate problems at source.
Confident and articulate communicator. Comfortable interacting with the business
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of investment banking experience, preferably in a trade support function.
Understand front to back process flows.
Proven experience in facing off with business counterparts.
Knowledge of financial markets is essential.
Knowledge of macros is a plus
