We are looking to make a hire that specifically manages the Static Data process for the firm, in addition to managing the overall function, as the fund plan for a much larger future build out. This is a unique opportunity for a static data analyst to step up in to a role that will face off to an investment desk consisting of some of the most well respected Portfolio Managers in the European Hedge Fund space. Having complete autonomy over the static data remit also provides great visibility across the firm, in addition to high accountability. The remit is broad and whilst in the simplest sense you will manage static data in internal systems, administer static configuration around new products and set up new tickers / instruments in the static data database, the fact is that the hire's true responsibilities will be extremely varied. You will set trade parameters, manage/ensure compliance for position limits, assess historical dividend streams, manage tax information, manage commission schedules with brokers etc. You will also closely work with Portfolio Managers and Traders, advising them on rules & regulations relevant to static data management in current and potential new markets that they trade in. Fantastic career progression is possible from this role, as whilst the hire would ideally be excited by the potential of building a wider static data management function around them, we are hiring at a level in which an individual has great potential and so a move directly on to the investment desk, in to risk management or middle office management are all possible.
We are not looking for a hire that is vastly experienced and so would instead prefer a more junior/mid-level hire that would see this as an exciting step up. You should have a background in static data/reference data management, whether as being the core focus of your role or perhaps part of an Operations/Middle Office remit. You should be educated to degree level. Communication skills and an outgoing personality are key as you will consistently liaise with the investment desk and senior management across the firm.
The role can offer a multiple of what a static data professional will be paid in an Investment Bank, Brokerage or most other Hedge Funds for that matter. In addition to an attractive increase on current base and a market leading benefits package, the hire will be awarded a bonus equivalent to a large % of the base salary if they are an exceptional performer.
