The firm has recently expanded internationally, and has already closed a significant solar project with more international deals in the pipeline.
The Firm's services include senior debt structuring and advisory as well as M&A. The team has experience across all the major infrastructure and energy sectors, with a clear focus on renewable energy. Their clients include major independent developers, numerous listed and unlisted funds, financial and institutional investors and utilities, maintaining strong connections throughout the banking community at senior levels.
The firm is seeking an Associate to join its growing Infrastructure and Energy financial advisory team. The focus of the role will be in renewable energy, with specific emphasis on solar, wind, waste, anaerobic digestion and battery/grid support. The role will include financial modelling on buy/sell side M&A deals, as well as senior debt and institutional bond financing solutions. The opportunity for the right candidate is unlimited both in terms of promotion and earning potential, whilst the organisational structure is flat to reflect the flexibility and dynamic of the team.
Specific responsibilities include:
Taking full responsibility for the financial model on selected/allocated projects
Supporting lender or PPA selection process including term sheet preparation and evaluation
Responding to client requests for scenario and sensitivity analysis
Using modelling skills and experience to pro-actively look for client solutions on day to day issues which may arise
Assisting in preparation of teasers or information memorandum documents
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
1-3 years of relevant sector experience in corporate finance or a debt-focused position
Exceptional financial modelling skills
Strong analytical skills combined with the ability to grasp/present complex commercial and financing issues effectively
Experience of working with different client types including independent developers, financial investors and utilities
Ability to work accurately, independently, under time pressure and manage multiple commitments
Good client facing skills paired with a history of client exposure
Willingness to travel internationally for short periods if required
