We are now working with a major non UK international financial services group who are looking for a Strategic Planning Manager in their London team. The role will offer high visibilty and access to the successfiul candidate with regional board level exposure.
The role will focus on the following:
Engage in the development of the Bank's long term strategic plan and annual business plans
Monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the plans, pointing out material deviations and recommending prompt corrective actions
Monitoring and proactively analysing, on an ongoing basis, internal and external events that affect the Bank, so as to provide ideas for both short-term tactics and long-term positioning and vision
Assist to communicate the Bank's long term and annual business plans as approved by the Board of Directors to various stakeholders
Continuously review business processes as part of the role and identify potential efficiencies and improvements Business partnering
Maintain and manage revenue and balance sheet budgets and forecasts for the business alongside Financial Planning and MI Team.
Assist in tracking performance of the SBUs against targets.
Ensure that capital is efficiently used assessing value of all relationships in terms of income, liquidity and capital utilisation. Assist with other ad hoc requests and projects.
5-10 years + Strategy Consulting with strategy development and business building experience. We would also consider strategic finance professionals with excellent strategic planning skills.
Experience of working with top consultancy / advisory strategy consulting firms or a similar role within another bank
Knowledge of key strategy planning and business partnering approaches.
Banking industry experience (whether in house or consulting).
