Asia Research Division is currently seeking a Hong Kong-based entry-level Junior Research Associate (Mandarin-speaking) to support HKG and Regional Banks sector coverage.
- Identify the trends, the competitive landscape, the evolving content and services, as well as differentiate investment opportunities in HKG and Regional Banks sector - Contribute effectively in projects regardless of functional, geographic and business lines - Support extensive financial modeling, analysis and collection of information across companies in the assigned sector - Analyze macroeconomics factors & industry trends - Prepare research reports - Handle client questions and inquiries - Assist Lead Analyst with expanding stock coverage universe and maintenance or updates of models and databases - Play an important role in producing and writing company and sector research *LI-JG1
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL-SETS
- Bachelor's degree or above - 1-5 years of relevant investment research or equity research experience preferred - Native or professional bi-lingual proficiency in both English and Mandarin necessary - Passion for research on HKG and Regional Banking industry in China - Excellent and well-structured written & verbal communication skills required - Strong interpersonal skills necessary - Ability to effectively work with diverse cultures in a global team with sensitivity and appreciation for diverse cultures - Quick learner with an ability to work well under pressure - Proactive & hard working with strong professional accountability - Only shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and modeling assessment - Candidate currently based in HKG a distinct advantage
